We are the Groningen Giants, founded in 2000 and proud to be one of the leading American football clubs in the Netherlands. Based in the city of Groningen, we compete in the Eredivisie, the highest level of American football in the country. As representatives of the northern region, we strive to grow the sport and set a high standard both on and off the field.
Since the beginning, we have worked to build a strong, disciplined, and ambitious team. A defining moment in our history came in 2015, when we completed an undefeated season and earned promotion to the Eredivisie. That success was the result of years of hard work, smart coaching, and a clear vision for growth. Today, we continue to develop our players and challenge ourselves at the highest level of competition.
Our home base is Sportpark Corpus den Hoorn, a modern sports facility in the south of Groningen. With a dedicated American football field, high-quality artificial turf, and strong infrastructure, we have everything we need to train, compete, and welcome supporters. Sharing the complex with other top-level sports organizations strengthens the spirit of collaboration and athletic excellence in our community.
